Tilia Cantilever House

An engineering feat resting on dual steel tension pylons, suspending guests high above ancient fern gullies and sandstone cliffs.

Suspended Over the Forest Canopy

The Tilia Cantilever House was designed to minimize ground disturbance down to less than 4 square meters of foundation footprint. Anchored directly into deep sandstone strata, the entire living floor cantilevers 12 meters outward over the gorge, producing an almost weightless sensation among the crowns of beech and linden trees.

Its two-bedroom layout is optimized for four individuals seeking an elevated retreat. Acoustic partitions lined with compressed natural sheep wool insulate each suite, ensuring private work and contemplation spaces.

Bespoke Amenities & Off-Grid Comfort

Equipped with a roof-integrated crystalline photovoltaic array and dual micro-hydro generation from an adjacent gorge stream, Tilia operates completely off-grid with uninterrupted warmth and power.

Outside, the suspended terrace contains a built-in sunken Nordic cedar hot tub, providing expansive evening views of the Milky Way across Bohemia's unpolluted night skies.
